ACT Group: Sponsor Oro de la Conferencia Internacional RTRS 2024
The 2024 RTRS International Conference, titled “Towards a Regenerative Transition,” will feature ACT Group as a Gold sponsor. The event will take place on November 19-20 in Ghent, Belgium, and will bring together leaders and experts from the soy and corn sectors to discuss key topics on sustainable agriculture.
This marks the fifth event sponsored by ACT Group, a leader in sustainable commodities and environmental markets, reinforcing their commitment to promoting sustainability within the soy value chain. ACT Group has been a dedicated partner of RTRS, sponsoring key events such as the RT13 (2018) in France, RT14 (2019) in the Netherlands, the RTRS Meeting Point 2022 in Germany, and the RTRS Meeting Point 2023 in São Paulo, Brazil.
Lukas Vogt, Manager of Sustainable Commodities at ACT Group, highlighted the alignment between the company’s vision and their sponsorship of the conference:
“At ACT, we see sustainable agriculture as a key driver in the fight against climate change. Our vision for the future is one where sustainable farming practices are the norm, and where farmers are empowered, and the planet benefits. Partnering with RTRS aligns perfectly with this vision. As a leader in responsible soy production, RTRS shares our commitment to making sustainable agriculture accessible and impactful across the global supply chain.”
Regarding the company’s expectations for the conference, Lukas added: “Our sponsorship of the RTRS International Conference represents a unique opportunity to connect with innovators, leaders, and stakeholders across the soy supply chain. We aim to spark meaningful dialogue around agricultural sustainability, exploring new ideas, innovations, and collaborative approaches that drive climate action at scale. By engaging with RTRS members and attendees, we hope to forge partnerships that support our mission of achieving a positive environmental impact.”
ACT Group is dedicated to making sustainability a reality across the entire supply chain, including aiding non-certified soy producers in achieving RTRS certification. Lukas underscored this commitment:
For example, as a part of our Impact Accelerator, we are helping farms across the Cerrado and Amazon biomes to achieve their RTRS certification. This project covered 55,295 hectares of land, with 40,704 hectares under cultivation and 3,660,094 TCO2eq stored in the vegetation of the properties. In the first year, the program delivered 110,000 tonnes of sustainably produced soybeans, helping farmers improve yields and supporting the economic growth of the area.
ACT Group has been an RTRS member since 2014. In 2017, the company began participating in the Executive Board, and from 2018 to the present, ACT Group has acquired over 10 million RTRS Credits, supporting responsible soy production in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, India, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
