Luiza Bruscato appointed as the new RTRS Executive Director

We are pleased to announce that Luiza Bruscato has been appointed RTRS Executive Director. Luiza is Brazilian, based in Sao Paulo, and holds a BSc in Environmental Engineering from the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). She has spent most of her career working on sustainability projects, resulting in fifteen years of experience in the public, private and third sectors. Currently as Executive Director of the Brazilian Round Table on Sustainable Livestock, Luiza has demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership in her present position.

Luiza has valuable experience in managing remote teams, which highlights her adaptability and resilience in navigating the evolving dynamic of our modern working environment. Her commitment to foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders has contributed significantly to the success of Livestock Round Tables in Latin America, including leading pivotal challenges. Such is the case of her decisive role in the digital transformation of Grupo de Trabalho da Pecuária Sustentável (GTPS) in the Brazilian Beef Round Table, dramatically increasing the membership base and showcasing her ability to drive organizational growth and inclusiveness.

Luiza Bruscato
Graduated in Environmental Engineering from UFABC – Federal University of ABC, has dedicated most of her career to working on sustainability projects, with fifteen years of experience in the public, private, and civil society sectors. During this time, she spent five years as responsible for educational sustainability projects at BASF / FEE – Eco-Space Foundation, serving agribusiness clients, especially large cooperatives. Since 2017, she has been promoting good practices in livestock farming. At Athenagro Consulting, she coordinated three editions of the Livestock Rally, the last one in 2019. For four years, she served as Executive Director of the Brazilian Roundtable on Sustainable Livestock (MBPS), working with key leaders in the meat, leather, and dairy production chain, as well as large producers, input and service companies, industry, retail sector, and NGOs in seeking solutions for the sustainable development of livestock farming. She was part of the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (GRSB) for a period of two years, from 2019 to 2021. Currently, Luiza is a guest lecturer in the MBA program in Agribusiness Management at IPOG (Institute of Postgraduate and Undergraduate).
