RTRS Producers Celebrate 10 Years of Certification

In 2021, the Round Table on Responsible Soy Association (RTRS) celebrates 10 years of certification of five RTRS producers under the RTRS Standard for Responsible Soy Production.
In 2011 Aceitera General Deheza, Adeco Agropecuaria S.A., Caldenes S.A. and Viluco from Argentina, and SLC Agrícola obtained for the first time the RTRS certificate for responsible soy production.
Implementation of the RTRS Standard for Responsible Soy Production began in 2006, and in 2011 Aceitera General Deheza S.A., Adeco Agropecuaria S.A, Caldenes S.A. and Viluco S.A. from Argentina, and Amaggi and SLC Agrícola obtained for the first time the RTRS certificate for responsible soy production.
This tenth anniversary means that these producers were first RTRS certified for 5 years, and then decided to renew their commitment to sustainability and to re-certify for another 5 years. “For RTRS this achievement is something to celebrate and to be proud of, because every year during ten years these producers confirmed their commitment to a sustainable value chain and to RTRS in its dual role as a multi-sectoral space and as a certification tool,” said Marcelo Visconti, RTRS Executive Director.
