The latest version of the Uruguayan National Interpretation Standard, developed during the 2024 Uruguay Task Force, is now available for download in our library, in both English and Spanish. The standard has evolved from version 2.0 to version 4.0.

We would like to inform you that the EU RED standards have now been reinstated. During 2023, a thorough review was conducted to align our documents with Implementing Regulation 2022/996, and they have since been approved by our Executive Board. As a result, the EU RED standards are once again applicable.

The Secretariat conducted a thorough evaluation of all 2023 EU RED Audits and no non-conformities identified during the audits. This encompasses 6 certified groups/multisites and 5 CoC companies certifying under the EU RED Production Standard and the EU RED Chain of Custody Standard respectively. The total includes 127 certified producers and 90 chain of custody certified sites. The aggregated list of non-conformities, indicates a clean record for the past calendar year.

The following technical documents were revised to implement improvements to the system and to include the incorporation of corn.
The Association members approved the new technical documents through Written Resolution 2-2021.

This report summarizes the revision process of the RTRS Production Standard V4.0 carried out by the Secretariat between July 2020 and June 2021 with the support of BSD Consulting facilitators.

Producers from countries that do not have an updated version of the relevant national interpretation will be audited against the latest version of the global standard. The responsible Certification Body will ensure that the audit is fully aligned with the global version, taking into account the latest national interpretation, local laws and the reality of local producers.*

Imaflora and SBCert from Brazil were accredited by the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro) to certify the RTRS Standard for Responsible Soy Production V.4.0.
